Research Interest My lab works on the development of non-invasive optical imaging (NIRS) of the human brain. Our methods are applied to both adults and neonatal imaging.

Our current projects include optical imaging of brain function related to the control of balance and vestibular information, concussion, and urology. We also develop methods related to real-time brain imaging. My lab works with both optical and multimodal (fMRI, PET, and MEG) methods to understand the biophysics underlying brain activity and function.
