Clinical Interest My clinical interest include cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, thoracic MRI and interstitial lung disease. We have a high volume service with abundant pathology across the entire spectrum of pulmonary, cardiac and vascular maladies.
Research Interest As an academic radiologist, there are three overriding areas of interest: resident and fellow education, research and clinical practice. Beyond the typical daily interactions with residents and fellows, I am the cardiothoracic fellowship director, an active member of the Radiology Program Education Committee, an active member of the Clinical Competency Committee and I function as a resident adviser.

My research interest include quantitative evaluation of cardiac chamber volumes by cardiac MRI and CT utilizing segmented phantoms generated on our in-house 3D printer. In collaboration with a handful of students from the engineering school evaluating the ability to 3D print personalized coronary arteries which will be evaluated for impact on patient understanding and compliance with medication and lifestyle alterations. Using our dual energy 64-slice CT, I have been collaborating with our pulmonologist to investigate the utility of Iodine maps in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. In collaboration with our emergency medicine physicians, I am involved with a project to assess utility of chest x-ray evaluation of aspiration versus atelectasis in post-arrest patients.
