Research Interest | My research interest is on the biophysical mechanisms of MR signal formation and evolution in biological systems and development of novel MRI techniques allowing for the in vivo quantification of tissue function such as oxygen metabolism and water exchange in brain and kidney in health and disease. Research topics include quantitative BOLD MRI theory in rest state and during functional activation; mechanism on tissue MR signal frequency contrast in gradient-recalled echo (GRE) images; T1Ï quantification techniques for body MR imaging; Novel MR based non-invasive quantification of kidney functions, i.e. glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and kidney oxygen metabolism; Novel MR imaging biomarker for prostate cancer. |
